As the Chair of the Yarmouth Cup organizing committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you all to Yarmouth Nova Scotia for the 16th edition of the Yarmouth Karate Challenge Cup. Fresh off the heels of the exciting Karate Canada National Championships held right here in Halifax NS, we are gearing up for another exciting tournament in Yarmouth NS. This years event will be held on June 2nd @ the beautiful venue that is the Mariners Centre.
This years event will include much the same divisions as last year including the fast paced “King of the Ring” for boys and girls ages 13 to 16. We are also featuring the very popular demonstrations at the noon break.
This years tournament promises to be very competitive with athletes, once again, coming in from across the east coast. Many of these athletes competed at the National level and some are World class athletes.
Everyone will of course be vying for the coveted “Yarmouth Cup”. Last years winner, Windsor Shito-Ryu Karate Club will be trying to defend its title against multi-time winners Ryuseikan of Halifax and Bushino-ki of Clare. There were also strong performances last year from Shoto-Ryu- jutsu of Yarmouth and the host Mukashi Karate.
Please check our website at www.mukashikarate.com for a complete list of all divisions. You will also find accomodations and travel information here as well.
If you have any questions or issues please feel free to contact me directly @

We`ll see you in Yarmouth!
