DESCRIPTION:A great opportunity put on by the Commonwealth Karate Federatio
 n\, open to our members.\n\nFor those of you new to the VKO\, its aim is t
 o provide world-class coaching for kumite\, refereeing\, kata and sports s
 cience to all Commonwealth countries at zero cost.\n\nSession 1 – Sleep 
 &amp\; Rest Management\n\nWe are delighted to have Dr Andrew Morley presen
 t the opening session on Sleep and Rest Management. Dr Morley is the Lead 
 Sleep Physiologist at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children\, Glasgow and i
 s currently a member of the British Sleep Society executive committee. He 
 brings a wealth of experience and we are  privileged to have him share hi
 s expertise with us.\n\nThis session will help attendees understand the im
 pact sleeping has on performance and the reasons for poor sleeping. It wil
 l also offer a range of clear\, practical tips and techniques to improve s
 leeping and resting. With the COVID pandemic disrupting many aspects of al
 l our lives\, we need to maximise the benefit sleep and rest gives – bot
 h physically and mentally – to help all of us through these challenging 
 times.\n\nThis session is not aimed just at elite athletes and coaches. Th
 e Sleep &amp\; Rest Management session will have benefits for all male and
  female karateka in their sport endeavours and their wider lives – from 
 young\, white belts at grass-root level\, all the way up to world-class at
 hletes and coaches.\n\nThe skills they learn here can be passed onto frien
 ds and family adding to the broader benefit to their societies.\n\nThe Sle
 ep &amp\; Rest Management session will have benefits for all male and fema
 le karateka in their sport\nendeavours and their wider lives – from youn
 g\, white belts at grass-root level\, all the way up to world-class\nathle
 tes and coaches. The skills they learn here can be passed onto friends and
  family adding to the broader\nbenefit to their societies.\nThis is one se
 ssion for all and not to be missed!\nI request you circulate these details
  widely and encourage attendees from all levels within your federations to
