For those interested in trying out for the kata team this year or at some point in the future, KNS will be holding several kata leaning sessions where coaches will teach some of the relevant national level competition kata from different styles. This is for anyone who would be interested in learning advanced competition level kata.
Those interested in attending should be at least green belt and minimum 10 years of age.
The first session will focus on Shotokan kata and be held on November 6th, starting at 9:30am at the Ryuseikan dojo in Cole Harbour. This sessions will focus on Unsu and a second kata still to be determined.
The second session will be Shito-Ryu style and focus on Chatanyara and Anan kata and held at the Windsor dojo. The date is still being worked on and we will let everyone know when it is finalized.
