Share The History: Karate Nova Scotia Pictures From The Past

Our current members are doing exciting things, and we have many more exciting things coming up in the future. However, we also want to remember our past accomplishments as that is what has brought us here. As such, we are asking everyone to send photos to td@karatens.org, so we can recognize our past with a Flashback Friday on our social media sites. The photos can be of something special for Karate Nova Scotia, your club, or you as an individual. Please send any photos to td@karatens.org with a little background on the photo. Please ensure if there multiple people in the photo, that we have their permission to share.

  1. I am trying to determine the year of the 14th National Black Belt Championship, held at the World Trade & Convention Center, Halifax, Nova Scotia on Saturday June 13th at 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday June 14th from noon until 6:00 p.m. . I have a poster from the event. I have had this poster for decades. The year of the event is not on it, and I am trying to determine what year it took place. I studied Chito-Ryu for 15 years beginning back in the mid ’90s, and I have had this poster from that time. The sword master pictured on this poster once visited our dojo. I believe his name was Tashiro. I have tried all the usual searches to determine the year of this event, but I have not had any success in determining it. Any information would be most appreciated. Thank you!
