Fees: Payments can be made via e-transfer (treasurer@karatens.org), please indicate in the comments that the payment is for the kata clinic. 

$30 – 1 Session
$50 – 1 Day (Saturday or Sunday)
$80 – 2 Days (Weekend)

This seminar is an excellent opportunity for KNS members to improve their competition or personal kata.

Open to Karate Nova Scotia members 10+ years of age and in good standing.

Full Bio: Daphné Trahan-Perreault 

Daphné Trahan-Perreault is a Quebec-based long-time Canadian national team athlete and 2022 Karate Canada National Champion. She has made at least one podium at every Nationals she participated in since her first national in 2003, when she also entered the national team. She transitioned into the Senior national team in 2007.

She has won bronze and silver medals at Pan American Championships in individual (jr 2007, 2006) and team kata (2009, 2016, jr 2006), gold at the Commonwealth Championships in 2008, silver in 2022, bronze medals at North American Cup 2011 and 2010, bronze at 2015 US Open, gold at 2011 Kobe Osaka International World Cup, silver in 2010. Daphné also had a few Top 10 results in Karate1 competitions since the league’s creation in 2011.

She teaches karate at her dojo since 2005 and is NCCP Comp-Intro trained. Daphné has been a Quebec team captain since 2014 and was a 2016 Quebec provincial assistant-coach. From 2008-2011 she has been Jr Canadian Team Captain and is also 2022 Sr Canadian Team Captain. She has been on the Karate Canada Athletes Council since its creation in 2019.
