Good day everyone,
I hope this letter finds you well and not too weary from the harsh winter snow. I am writing to you today to invite you to come to Yarmouth Nova Scotia for the 13th edition of the Yarmouth Karate Challenge Cup to be held on June 6th 2015.
Last year we had upwards of 170 competitors take part from across Nova Scotia, and a few from Newfoundland/Labrador, making it the largest karate tournament in Eastern Canada. The competition was live streamed and was watched by friends in Nfld, British Columbia, New Zealand, and even Kumamoto Japan. It was also televised locally on Eastlink television.
Building on last year`s success we are expecting 200 + competitors this year with athletes coming from New Brunswick, Prince Edward`s Island and perhaps even a group from the eastern USA.
As you can imagine, putting on such an event requires a large number of volunteers. We are planning to run 4 rings and will require 30-35 officials in order to allow for adequate breaks.
