Registration Eligibility:
Athlete Eligibility – This event is open to all competitors from around the world! There are no qualification requirements for this event.
Age Eligibility – The age eligibility of competitors will be calculated based on their age as of Dec 31, 2021.
Competitors are only eligible to register in categories that correspond to the age that they will be on Dec 31, 2021.
Registration Fees:
- $15 per event individual event.
- $10 per Team Kata Competitor ** Each member of the team needs to select “team Kata” and each member will be charged $10.00

Video Submission:
- Videos must be uploaded no later than December 15th
- Load your video to your personal Google Drive and share with YarmouthCup2021@gmail.com.
Video Submission Procedure:
Videos are to be uploaded to YouTube via your Google account. Participants may upload their video to their personal YouTube channel or to their karate club`s YouTube channel.
Name the video using the following format:
First Name_Last name_kata name
Example: Bruce_Lee_Bassai
VIDEO GUIDELINES
1 – The entire body of the competitor, from head to toe, must be visible throughout the kata/kumite performance with good lighting. Please ensure you have enough space – No shuffle steps (for kata).
2 – Include 5 seconds at the beginning and at the end of each video.
3 – The competitor should state their name and the name of the kata to be performed, bow and then perform the kata. Finish with a bow.
4 – The camera should be placed directly in front of the competitor, with a maximum camera angle of 45 degrees from the competitor.
5 – No edits of any kind are permitted to be made to the video. The entire kata performance must be recorded using a single camera, and in one single, continuous take.
6 – A minimum resolution of 720p (1280×720) is required. Most smartphones are capable of recording at this resolution.
7 – Sound must be recorded in conjunction with the video. The recording must take place in a location with minimal ambient noise.
8 – The video must be filmed in the horizontal format.
