Be the first Canada Open national champion!
Karate Canada has sanctioned of a new annual Karate BC event called the Canada Open Karate Championships, to be held at the beautiful Richmond Oval Olympic Arena on June 3 & 4, 2017, near the Vancouver International Airport in British Columbia, Canada.
This new open championships will become one of the largest karate tournaments ever held in Canada by offering any recreational athlete to high-performance athlete from around Canada and the world the chance to compete together in the destination city of Vancouver.
There has been growing demand for a national open karate championships in Canada, as seen with the many karate athletes from Canada and other countries attending the popular US Open Karate Championships in Las Vegas, and the many US athletes who routinely come to local Canadian tournaments.
With the global karate competitive community expanding each year, and the chance for karate to be part of the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, Karate BC would like to invite the world to the inaugural Canada Open Karate Championships!
